Journal Entry:
"At the Phoenix airport about to depart on my adventure with Travis to: India, Barcelona and Paris. Wow. I'm a lucky woman!
As I sit here groggy from a recovering (nasty) cold/flu, I am trying to prepare myself to live in the moment. Even Kelly called me before I got to the airport to tell me to live for each day. Live each day of my adventure as that, an adventure. No thoughts of past or future. She is so right (and sweet) to remind me of this important fact before I leave for 'who knows what'?!
It's been a nice month home with my family. For a long time I didn't think those words would come out of me. I got to hang out with my nephew! I talked to my dad about... I organized for my mom. And spent real quality time with friends and family. Kelly even had a going away dinner for me, that if I wasn't in such a sickly state and slightly comatose, I would have cried more and been able to express to those there (Kelly, Josh, Joshua, Mom, Dad, Patrick, Nikki, Grandma, Ryan, Ashton, Josc, Aris) how much I had enjoyed being with them the past month and how much I was going to miss them. 'You better come home by June or I am coming over there to bring you back' Aris' last words to me as we hugged and said goodbye.
As it stands, Travis and I love each other, are ready to explore and share new adventures together, and I can't think of a better way to start my year.
Cosette was really nice on our "last" phone call and Ciera Aimee was sweet about asking when I was going, coming back, visiting, etc. Oh and singing me a little song!! haha
Sigh. A good, I am blessed, SIGH.
